Halloween is a great time of year for lots of things: Candy, dressing up in weather-inappropriate costumes and rocking out to over-the-top shock rock bands known for spraying their audiences in blood and demon semen. Which is exactly why House of Vans in Brooklyn is hosting grotesquely costumed, heavy metal legends GWAR during the third annual HalloWolfbat on Saturday, October 29.

Once again, visual artist Dennis McNett will turn the massive 25,000 square foot venue into a large 3-D multimedia art installation with creatures from mythology and folklore, including McNett's impressive 16-foot-tall puppet of the Norse demigod Fenrir, a giant wolf with bat wings or a "Wolfbat."
McNett's Wolfbat warrior puppets will go to battle during sets from death metal band Darkest Hour and New York-based supergroup Mutoid Man. When Gwar takes the stage expect for a gruesome good time — last time these stalwarts-of-sin were in New York City they decapitated Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
HalloWolfbat takes over House of Vans on October 29, doors open at 7:30pm. Show is free, but RSVP here.
