Gorillaz may be playing a secret show in NYC tonight

Are Gorillaz playing a last-minute, secret show in New York tonight? The band sent out a cryptic tweet this afternoon that is leading some fans to believe that’s the case.

The tweet shows a few animated Gorillaz members under the Brooklyn Bridge along with the simple phrase: “Plans tonight?” Uh… You tell us?

Some are speculating that the message means there will be a surprise performance in Brooklyn Bridge Park or the near vicinity in DUMBO later today. So any super fans out there may want to head to ‘hood just to be safe. 

Gorillaz hasn’t exactly been a stranger to New York appearances lately. They recently played a show at Rough Trade and also mounted an ambitious Spirit House installation in Brooklyn to support their new album Humanz.
