One of Brooklyn's buzziest and most unabashed openings since breast-themed Boobie Trap hit Bushwick last fall, Amancay's Diner is a 24-hour greasy spoon rigged with an oversize C-booth dedicated to spin the bottle.
The kitschy, graffitied bar-restaurant recently opened in Williamsburg with owner Chang Han (St. Mark's Market) at the helm to serve diner grub like burgers ($14) and BLTs ($10) alongside more creative plates like gluten-free shrimp scampi ($14) and barbecue-sautéed salmon ($18). In addition to the makeout-inducing seats, there are two-top tables lined along banquettes with classroom chairs opposite them. There's also a basement event space called Max Cellar that's suited for square dancing, African drumming classes, jazz shows and open mic nights.
