Farmborough is NYC's first country music festival

Taylor Swift may have ditched country music and moved to New York, but Nashville's hot on her trail. Next June, NYC gets a blockbuster country-music festival—a first for the city—when Farmborough settles in at Randalls Island for three days. Turn up for twangy tunes from stars such as Dwight Yoakam, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and Brad Paisley (who's "Accidental Racist" days are behind him...we hope).

Aside from the big names headlining, Farmborough boasts an impressive roster of rising talents like fiery Pistol Annies member Ashley Monroe, blithe bard Brandy Clark and Skynyrd-disciples the Cadillac Three—all of whom you can check out below:

Luke Bryan: "Play It Again"

Ashley Monroe: "Weed Instead of Roses"

Brandy Clark: "Crazy Women"

Cadillac 3: "I'm Southern"

Though the city isn't traditionally known as a country music haven, New Yorkers are increasingly gravitating toward the genre's dirt-road anthems and whiskey-soaked tearjerkers. The rise of Nash FM and well-attended shows by acts like Bryan and Miranda Lambert (and Eric Church's recent MSG gig) have raised the genre's profile: Farmborough marks a big—if a bit overdue—next step.

Farmborough is June 26–28 at Randalls Island. Get tickets through Ticketmaster
