On May 10th, Harlem's mouth-watering grub will be up for (very affordable) grabs at the sixth annual Food & Drink Boulevard. Nineteen restaurants and bars from Harlem's Restaurant Row (that would be Frederick Douglass Boulevard between 112th and 124th streets) are participating in this foodie block party, each offering tasty food and drink $5 specials.
Among the eateries are several of the neighborhood's best restaurants, including the superb Italian restaurant Lido, the Caribbean-inspired LoLo's Seafood Shack and quality pub Harlem Tavern. For a boozy delight, check out the phenomenal cocktails at 67 Orange Street. Or if it's something sweet you desire, finish your epicurean pilgrimage with a dessert from Turkish restaurant Savann.
In order to get the $5 deals, pre-register here for a free wristband (once you register you'll receive an email telling you where to pivk it up), or go in person to Angel of Harlem or Harlem Tavern. The event is from 6pm-10pm on Wednesday. Note that some places may be cash only for specials.
