If you're like me, you've had quite a few meet-ups from dating or sex apps that don't exactly crackle and pop. Sure, we can pick a mate from a litany of hundreds of torsos and photoshopped faces, but that doesn't account for chemistry. Luckily, one of the best clubs in NYC, House of Yes, is changing up the game. On Thursday November 17, you'll be challenged to meet your lovers while blindfolded at Sensory Speed Dating.

The event, produced by Guerilla Science, pairs up groups of strangers and sends them through a romantic arena designed to stimulate connections through all of our senses. Look out for aphrodisiacal bites during the taste round and all manners of feathers and spices for the touch and scent challenges. Unlike many other speed dating events, this edition accommodates LGBTQ, poly, single and coupled participants.

The shenanigans will be overseen by You're the Expert podcast host Chris Duffy, along with a scientist and some of the Bushwick club's always-DFW performers. Tickets are $30 for participants and $100 for voyeurs, so if you're going to go, you might as well jump in. You can buy tickets here.
