Come summertime, the city’s possibilities for outdoor drinking and dining multiply rapidly, as long-shuttered patios, terraces and gardens open up to accommodate al fresco sipping and noshing.
In a city as vertical as New York, perhaps the best way to enjoy open-air fun times is to lounge on one of NYC’s myriad rooftop bars, enjoying the views and the warm sunshine. And if you just can’t decide on which rooftop to visit, Rooftop Crawl is back for its third season shepherding eager drinkers between three rooftop bars—all in one night.
Starting in June, the lifestyle company will host a series of all-inclusive rooftop-hopping evenings, with free drinks and transportation between sites included. Your $45 ticket grants you access to mile-high bars and lounges including The Attic, 230 Fifth, Hudson Terrace and Monarch; start the night with a free drink at your first spot, then receive a text message about two hours later, when it’s time for you and your group to get a Lyft to the next roof.
After another two hours of drinking and view-admiring, you’ll be transported to the final stop on the crawl. Need a further incentive to validate your night of imbibing? For every ticket purchased, the Crawl will donate five meals to the Food Bank for New York.
