Adult rec teams are a blast, what with all the kicking, throwing and most importantly, drinking, but when has glow-in-the-dark NOT made something more fun?

Now's your chance to join a brighter-than-average kickball or bocce ball team with Play Big Apple. Set on a dark indoor or outdoor fields and parks in Brooklyn and Manhattan, teams gear up in glow-in-the-dark T-shirts and glow sticks while punting or tossing fluorescent balls around. You have until September 15 to sign up, and the next game kicks off at McCarren Park in Brooklyn on September 23. "Playing in the dark really amps up the fun," says Giovanni Marcantoni, Play Big Apple CEO.

The club offers 8 other sports leagues—like skeeball, dodgeball and soccer—that you can sign up for by joining a league or registering as a single player. Costs usually vary between $69 to $79 per player, but you'll get hooked up with team shirts, equipment and free beer at sports bars after all the sweaty fun. It's a great way to meet other young professionals, and hey, you might even become the gym class hero.
