We can always rely on Bryant Park to keep us entertained throughout the year. From the Winter Village to outdoor summer movies screenings, dance classes and more, it’s never a dull moment.
The summer lineup of entertainment continues on July 1 with the park’s popular performance series Accordions Around the world. Last year, you guys went nuts for the globally influenced accordions, harmoniums, concertinas and bandoneons stationed on every corner.
And for the next ten weeks, the park will, once again, be filled with the sound of squeezeboxes playing genres that span from France to Colombia. If you love free music, stop by the park on Wednesday (and every hump day until August 26) from 6pm–8pm. Here are the performers you can expect to hear on opening night below:
Mindra Sahadeo—Harmonium: Indian
Jenny Luna—Balkan + Turkish
Erica Mancini—American Roots + Standards
Seaninho do Acordeon—Brazilian Forró
Uri Sharlin—World
Papa Bavarian—German Oktoberfest
Brooke Watkins—French Musette/Jazz Standards
Sadys Espitia—Colombian Cumbia + Vallenato
David Hodges—Bandoneon: Argentine Tango
Fabio Turchetti—Italian Folk
