We knew from her adorable, Tony-nominated turn in She Loves Me that Broadway vet Laura Benanti was a song-and-dance talent of the highest order. And last year we gushed over her viral videos promoting the New York Spectacular. But last night Benanti grabbed the national spotlight with her drop-dead funny impersonation of plagiarized-speech reciter Melania Trump on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. When Benanti was Colbert's guest a few months ago, they laughed over the fact that the actor can imitate Melania's suck-in-cheeks-and-do-bedroom-eyes shtick. We don't know who Benanti-as-Melania's speechwriter is, but they have nothing to apologize for. Check it out:
