There are plenty of fresh-fish restaurants in NYC, even spots where you can pick out live seafood from a glass case. But aside from trying to hook your own catch in the Rockaways, there aren't many places that actually let you fish for dinner yourself.

Zaou is a popular Japanese chain that is launching its first stateside restaurant in NYC. The Chelsea eatery will have three floors: the first two allowing diners to sit on a "boat" and cast their lines, and a third serving sushi and more upscale seafood dishes.

There will be ten types of fish swimming in the treacherous waters and, once caught, will be cooked by the chefs in any way the diner-cum-fisherman desire.

The restaurant will be located on 152 W 24th St and is expected to open in early 2018.
