A new food hall is coming to Chelsea

A new Chelsea food hall is coming to give Chelsea Market a run for its money: The team behind Union Square food market Union Fare is opening a second location at the residential Avalon West Chelsea building (Eleventh Avenue between 28th and 29th Streets). 

Union Fare 28 will house four unique restaurants, a marketplace, a lounge and a gallery in a chic industrial space. Patrons will be able to order Mediterranean dishes at French Dnr, the most upscale of the lot, American grub at Union Fare Grill or oyster-and-champagne combos at Fog Cutter.

The food hall is expected to open late 2017.
