Despite what the weather reports have told you, summer is coming and with it the return of everyone's go-to warm-weather wine, rosé. Those #basic blush bottles will be the focus of this summer's PINKNIC, a picnic and music festival put on by the founders of La Nuit en Rosé at Governors Island on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10.

From noon to 5pm each day, 16,000 revelers—dressed in nothing but pink and white, duh—will settle onto rosé-hued designer blankets for stemless glasses of still, sparkling and champagne rosé selections ranging from Chandon to Château d’Esclans. The afternoons will be soundtracked with live DJ sets and performances by the likes of Claptone, Miami Horror, Tortured Soul and Slow Hands.

You can bring your own grub or, if you'd rather leave it to a pro, pre-order a for-two basket from chef Chris Santos, packed with stuff like popcorn-shrimp salad, BBQ sweet-potato chips and mango ginger pudding ($70, $65 vegetarian, $75 nut-free).
