There are a lot of outdoor film series being held across New York this summer (seriously, there are so damn many), but few give attendees the opportunity to take in a movie at one of the city's best beaches. Last week, the Alliance for Coney Island announced its seventh annual Flicks on the Beach film series, and the lineup is more exciting than a ride on the Cyclone.

The screenings will be held at 7pm on Mondays from July 10 through August 28 at Coney Island Beach near West 12th Street (right next to Luna Park). The series is presented by Amazon Studios and features a pair of sneak previews of two New Yorkbased films from the studio that are set to be released later this summer: Landline and Crown Heights. Other highlights include Jordan Peele's horror meets comedy Get Out, faux Academy Award Best Picture winner La La Land and the Emma Watsonled reboot of Beauty and the Beast.

There are a lot of reasons to visit Coney Island Beach during the summer, but if splashing around in the ocean or laying out in the sand isn't your jam, then these screenings ought to be a suitable alternative. Check out the full lineup below and get ready to catch a flick next to the friggin' ocean.

July 10: Beauty and The Beast

July 17: Landline

July 24: Finding Dory

July 31: La La Land

August 7: Get Out

August 14: The Lego Batman Movie

August 21: Crown Heights

August 28: Star Wars: Rogue One
