Cult followers of the gloriously beautiful but sexually frustrated high school students Sebastian de Valmont, Kathryn Merteuil, Annette Hargrove and Cecile Caldwell have something to celebrate. And it's better than Cruel Intentions on Netflix this month. There is a Cruel Intentions TV pilot on the way—and we couldn’t be more f*cking excited!

The news broke late last night when Sarah Michelle Gellar announced on Instagram that she’s signed on to reprise the lead female role of Ms. Merteuil for NBC’s newest venture. That’s right: the Marcia f*cking Brady of the Upper East Side is back! But our question is, will she be the same charming but cunning coke addict we hated and adored in 1999? Oh, it looks like she’ll still be scheming alright.

Deadline Hollywood
reports that the series will take place in present day in San Francisco, more than 15 years after the movie. Merteiul's (Gellar) vice is to go after Valmont International as well as her nephew Bash Casey (Taylor John Smith), who just so happens to be the son of her late step brother Sebastian and his one true love Annette Hargrove (Reese Witherspoon). OoOo juicy. Details are pretty scarce, but there will definitely be sex, corruption and perhaps another girl-on-girl make out session?

It’s still uncertain whether or not Reese Witherspoon will return to reprise the role of Hangrove, but one thing is for sure—Ryan Phillippe will not be back to play Valmont. Spoiler alert: he’s struck by car and dies in the film. AND NO, WE’RE STILL NOT OVER IT.
