Who says there's no smoking in bars? At this Murray Hill lounge, small white clouds rise from the tables and bar, generated by ultrasonic mist makers. Visitors can watch the fog, colored lights and clubby crowd while sitting at the black leather banquettes in the front room or from inside a slightly elevated "white room" in back. Owner Mark Titone, who helped launch Duvet, has hired a staff that's well trained on bottle service; they've worked at Lotus, Biltmore Room, Bed and the Hudson Hotel. Drink enough Amazon Mists—a sake-spiked caipirinha—and your head will be even cloudier than the room.
