The team behind this East Village tavern knows how to run a pub; it's also responsible for Sláinte and Cooper’s Craft & Kitchen. Set inside the old Dempsey’s space, the 80-seat, equine-inspired bar screens horse races and slings theme-appropriate cocktails, like the Final Furlong (bourbon and ginger beer with muddled berries) and the Native Dancer (tequila, lime and mint), from beverage director Barry Feenery (the Lambs Club). Plates are suitably hearty: Expect short-rib nachos, a rib-eye cheesesteak and a Pat LaFrieda–sourced burger.
