Chef Alex Guarnaschelli and nightlife vets Scott Sartiano and Richie Akiva (1Oak, Butter) operate this elegant cocktail lounge beneath their sceney supper club, the Darby. The 200-seat subterranean space features brown leather banquettes and a golden honeycomb-patterned frame covering the ceiling and walls. Bar snacks, like Asian beef skewers and BBQ spare ribs, are dispatched from the same kitchen as the full-service restaurant above. At the stroke of 10pm, specialty cocktails—including the Floozie (grapefruit flavored vodka, lemon and rose champagne) and the Hotel Nacional (rum, apricot, lime, peach bitters and soda)—jump from the merely expensive mark of $14 to a straight-ballin' $18. So be sure to bring a stacked wallet or generous pals if you plan to party the night away.
