Al Hirshfeld caricatures are on the walls, Mantovani is in the air, and history is at hand: The dark little bar is adjacent to the dining area where Parker, Woolcott et al. formed the legend of the Algonquin Round Table. The Blue Bar is now peopled by a mix of young Condé Nast staffers and more mature drinkers. The equally well-turned-out staff eases them out of the workday with stiff highballs and martinis.
