Wine bars are proliferating, but Eli Zabar’s has an edge: If you like what you’re sipping, you can walk into his adjacent wine store and buy a bottle to take home. Of the 75 reasonably priced bottles from across the globe, 25 are offered by the glass. The restaurant also abuts Eli’s gourmet food shop, so the bar menu includes an impressive cheese cart.
