From the alums of Angel's Share, Employees Only and Alinea, comes the buzzy Tokyo import Sip & Guzzle. Housing two experiences under one roof, Sip's sleek, Japanese-style interior draws inspiration from the first samurai's landing in America in 1860. Up above, Guzzle shakes up classics with a twist in a saloon-style environment. This month, they are inviting international talent from across the pond for an experience like no other.
On February 10, Sip & Guzzle will welcome two of London's best to its Greenwich Village bar: The Connaught & Satan’s Whiskers. Giorgio Bargiani of The Connaught Bar will take over the subterranean space that is Sip, bringing its iconic classics and Bond-like vibes with them. Meanwhile, Kevin Armstrong and Daniel Waddy of Satan's Whiskers will tend bar at Guzzle, introducing a taste of the East side of London to NYC. Guests are required to purchase drink tickets to enter, priced at $25, which can be redeemed at either bar. And if you feel overboozed, don't worry, as guests Sip & Guzzle's chicken sandwich will be there to save the day, free of charge. This event is walk-in only, so get there early and come thirsty.
