Time Out says

It's easy to overlook Short Stories as just a place where Reformation-clad fashion industry gals post up over avocado toast while dancing to spins by a Hypebeast DJ. But, in fact, Short Stories, a new millennial-pink nightlife spot that also serves brunch, can back up its almost egregiously on-trend vibes with excellent bites. Short Stories has a lot of players: founded by Ashwin Deshmukh (partner of Williamsburg Pizza), Matt Arnold alongside Pir Granoff and Danny Teran (of Millie’s Cuban Cafe) and Kumasi Sadiki of The Good Company. The kitchen is run by executive chef Daniel Bagnall (an alum of The Smile and Eleven Madison Park), the delicious menu runs the gamut of the "Story Burger" made with an Impossible patty and poblano queso; blistered shishitos; and burrata with tomatillo jam. A recent special included angel hair pasta with ramp pesto and pickled strawberries, where Bagnall's culinary training really gets to shine. Short Stories also hosts pop-up menus from chefs around the world, kicking off with Paris' Season restaurant. With the food on-point and a bumpin' playlist, it's the perfect place to pre-game your weekend nights.
