When the Upper West Side Greek restaurant En Plo opened in April, it looked a lot like the Greek eatery Pelagos that formerly occupied the space—and the food was awfully familiar, too. It was from the same chef, Peter Spyropoulos. But now an alluring subterranean lounge has opened downstairs, and it serves spectacular, rare Greek spirits. You can sample any of 20 ouzos——a licorice-flavored liqueur—in addition to 12 ouzo cocktails (like “ouzopolitans”), dozens of Greek wines and a separate menu of Greek mezes. DJs mix on Friday and Saturday nights.
