On a relatively quiet block, a pair of Germans have taken nightlife matters into their own hands, and the result is a multitasking complex. Their bar, Nautilus, is next door to the their restaurant, Grotto, and downstairs from their second-floor espresso bar, Monterone, and connected to their Mediterranean-style back garden. Inspired by 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Nautilus is decorated with portholes and diving-helmet lamps. At press time, a late-night bar menu was in the works, featuring small plates to pair with mojitos, bellinis, caipirinhas and more.
