We’re nearing rooftop season, New York, and fresh sky-high options are popping up all over town. The latest, a cloud-skimming lounge near the Theater District, comes courtesy of Ric Addison (Ava at Dream Hotel) and Jeff Lam (Chinese Tuxedo). Along with velvet seating and a working fireplace, the 37th-floor bar boasts 17-foot-high floor-to-ceiling windows and a glass roof to accommodate 360-degree views of the Empire State Building, Times Square and the Hudson River. Executive chef Alan Wise (Public, Rouge Tomate) has created upscale American fare for both the rooftop and its downstairs restaurant neighbor, Magnolia, which means you can get deviled duck eggs and Angus beef sliders to accompany tropical cocktails like a Caribbean Cosmo (vodka, Cointreau, hibiscus syrup, pineapple and lime juices) and the Apple of Mai Eye (bourbon, apple cider, cinnamon syrup and fresh lemon).
