This unremarkable-looking pub sits right across the street from the New York Post offices (Steve Dunleavy is alleged to have filed more than a few columns from Langan’s), so you’re likely to run into a few journos seeking inspiration, as well as performers from neighboring theaters. The good-natured Irish bartenders more than make up for the aesthetics, as do the free hors d’oeuvres served Monday to Friday, from 5 to 8pm.
