Dedicated to the spirit of the bar’s muse, artist Georgia O’Keeffe, Bar Calico is welcoming a rotating “In Residence” series every Thursday night this August from 9pm to 1am. Built out of a collective desire to honor artist residencies in all forms – “whether a bartender, guest DJ, NYC urbanite, or hotel guest that chooses to make the encompassing hotel, the Freehand, their city retreat of choice”–the moody, intimate lounge will play host to DJ sets, as well as guest bartenders who will shake up their own cocktail creations in an extension of the bar’s “In Residence” programming.
