Grand Army's annual birthday block party has become a summertime tradition of sorts in Brooklyn and the Boerum Hill bar is bringing the al fresco festivities back to celebrate its ninth anniversary.
On Saturday, June 8, from 2pm to 6pm, the bar team will be hosting family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon including country music DJs and a line dance caller who will be instructing guests on line dances throughout the day. (That’s all in keeping with the bar’s current cocktail menu theme, the Grand Ole Opry.)
The Hoyt Street block will be closed to traffic, so there will be plenty of room for activities, games and grooving to DJ sets from the likes of J.R. Bohannan and Johnny Kobritz. Burger specials and rummy drinks (presented in partnership with Bacardi) will help fuel the fun. Reservations are recommended but not required.
