Finally Fred’s (CLOSED)

Here’s the bar version of that grungy but fun-loving kid in the next dorm room. He parties all night and plays his out-of-tune electric guitar far too loud, yet you can’t help but love the guy. The sweet weeknight bartender at Fred’s still enjoys his job after five years, and won’t hesitate to explain the place’s idiosyncrasies like the “Leave a Drink” board, where you can prepay for an absent friend. He says that on an average night, he knows 99 percent of his customers by name, and insists that even if the live music downstairs is not consistent, he has more fun here than anywhere else he’s ever worked. Fred’s room may be a mess, but this spaced-out kid sure knows how to have a good time.
