In a space-optimizing transformation, EN Japanese Brasserie turned its foyer into an airy lounge. Walls of windows make for a light-suffused room, decorated with rice-paper scrims, Far Eastern sconces and communal tables. A well-heeled downtown set can choose from two dozen varieties of EN’s namesake Japanese vodka, and cocktails like the $12 Showa—Maker’s Mark bourbon mixed with ginger-infused honey and ginger ale.
