Tottering divas and song stylists love to perform here (Blossom Dearie and Margaret Whiting, for example); so do actors branching out into cabaret (Brett Somers, Greg Marx). The audience is enthusiastic, mature and knowledgeable, which means the experience is pure pleasure, never kitschy. The Skylight Room will remind many fans of defunct Reno Sweeney, despite its offbeat address inside the Grand Sea Palace restaurant, “where Bangkok meets Broadway” on touristy Restaurant Row.
