Time Out says

The biggest competition of summer is here! No, we're not talking about the 2024 Paris Olympics. Instead, we're talking about the way more populist and way less exerting 2024 Summer Wine Games hosted by City Winery NYC.

Each Wednesday through August 21, the urban wine emporium is hosting a tasting series spotlighting a featured wine: example, it's all about pinot noir on July 24, while July 31 will be fueled by cabernet sauvignon and August 7 will be bubbling over with yummy rosé. Guests will unleash their inner sommelier and rate the wine of the week, with each chosen bottle winning a spot at the big closing games dinner on August 21, which will "feature the gold medal winners and match each with a perfect dish that highlights their champion status." Tickets cost $75/person.
