The website, featuring snapshots of wince-inducing 1940s headlines (“atom bomb hits japs”), is the first glimpse of bar-branding gone berserk at this new Flatiron spot. The theme is World War II, and it’s emblazoned all over the menu: You’ll find an Allied cheese plate (English, Swiss) and an Axis one (Italian, French) to complement classic drinks like a Moscow mule and an old-fashioned. We wish it were a hoax, but it’s not. Joseph Heller must be turning in his grave.
