Bill’s Gay Nineties (CLOSED)

A former speakeasy, this majestic townhouse is a fine place to take an out-of-towner. Every inch of wall space is devoted to artifacts from the turn of the last century: The ground-floor bar (about 20 tables and a piano) is decorated with drawings and photos of old-time boxers and racehorses. Both visitors and the workaday set stop in to tipple potent martinis.
