Most of us can't perform the kind of athletic feats that Simone Biles, Katie Ledecky and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone will no doubt be achieving at this summer's 2024 Paris Olympics. But we can show off Olympic-level prowess where it really counts: our beer-drinking abilities.
On Thursday July 25 starting at 6pm, The Standard, High Line’s outdoor beer garden is holding its very own Bierlympics Games, where teams of four can sign up to compete in a series of games including Beer Pong, Flip Cup, Stein-Holding and more. Prizes for the winning teams include BG tickets and ski-shots. It's free to play, but you've got to sign up in advance—and matching team outfits are a must.
Additionally, The Biergarten will be toasting the games, both boozy and otherwise, with a special cocktail menu. Stamps corresponding with each countries cocktail can be collected in bespoke BG passports over the two weeks. If all five stamps are collected, guests can use their completed passport to redeem 25% off their next visit to The Biergarten.
