The bustling enoteca at Danny Meyer’s blockbuster trattoria, Maialino, is one of the area’s most desirable spots to sip some vino. The wine list is all Italian, and most of the selections are available by the glass, quartino and bottle (we liked a fruity $11 barbera d’alba). If you’re planning on making a meal of the excellent salumi, cheeses and small plates on the bar menu, perhaps indulge in one of the excellent apertivi. The Aviation—made with Plymouth gin and maraschino and violet liqueurs—was a floral complement to whipped lardo on toast sprinkled with rosemary salt.
