Delicious tapas and an excellent selection of Spanish wines by the glass are enough to draw plenty of people on a winter’s night. Other enticements include wooden rafters, ochre walls and candlelight that evoke the romance of the Mediterranean, and expat bartenders who are friendly and full of wine and food advice. Yet the real fun begins when the weather turns warm and the doors open to the enormous garden (you can hear neighborhood kids at play in a nearby park). There are few better ways to beat the heat than to sit here with a plate of fresh sardines and an icy pitcher of sangria.
