Scandals, Scalawags and Murder Most Foul Walking Tour

Green-Wood Cemetery is known as the final resting place of many New Yorkers, including composer Leonard Bernstein, artist Jean-Michel Basquiat and Dodgers owner Charles Ebbets; but for a glimpse at the city’s more gruesome past, claim a spot on this walk. The tour, led by urban historian Ruth Edebohls, visits the graveyard’s notorious residents, among them Tammany Hall leader William “Boss” Tweed.
