Noir Now

As part of the New School's Noir Fest, filmmaker Todd Haynes (I'm Not There) and writer Jon Raymond (Old Joy) chat about their HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce, based off the 1941 novel by James M. Cain, with rock historian Greil Marcus leading the talk. Warming up for that panel will be students of the New School's MFA creative writing program giving readings, and video selections from The Letter, a noir opera by composer Paul Moravec and librettist-critic Terry Teachout.
