Jeffrey Kroessler, <i>The Greater New York Sports Chronology</i>

New Yorkers love their sports and have for some time. It turns out the Dutch were even playing recreational games in 17th-century New Amsterdam. Author Jeffrey Kroessler, as part of the society’s “Home Base: Memories of the Dodgers at Ebbets Field" exhibit, will discuss the progression from these early athletics to the emergence of today's professional sports-industrial complex.
