Doll Festival (Girls' Day): Hinamatsuri

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT. This version of the Japanese tradition celebrating the health and happiness of young women features workshops in which kids decorate ceremonial dolls with peach blossoms and make their own hina dolls to take home. Families can also munch on festive snacks, including rice cakes wrapped in cherry leaves, and listen to springtime songs performed on the stringed koto instrument. Reservations recommended. Ages 3 to 10.
