Time Out says

The Victorians may not have had Avatar, but they still turned to 3-D technology for entertainment. Filmmaker Ronni Thomas will discuss diableries, grimly humorous images depicting the devil’s daily life in hell, which appear three-dimensional when seen through a stereoscope, a 19th-century viewing contraption. Thomas will bring his own diableries collection and encourages audience members to do the same.
