Boerum Hill: Inside & Outside the District walking tour

Meet at the Williamsburgh Savings Bank, Ashland Pl at Hanson Pl, Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Subway: B, Q, 2, 3, 4, 5 to Atlantic Ave; D, M, N, R to Pacific St. Wedged between Downtown Brooklyn and Carroll Gardens, this small ’hood was named for Simon Boerum, who ran a farm in the area from the 1840s to the 1870s. Tour leader Joe Svehlak will focus on old and new buildings beyond the city-designated historic district (Pacific Street to Wyckoff Street between Hoyt and Nevins Streets).
