Battle Week—The 235th Anniversary of the Battle of Brooklyn

More than a week's worth of events memorializing the Revolutionary War scuffle in Brooklyn get underway with exhibitions, tours and reenactments of the battle. A reading of the Declaration of Independence on Fri 19 at 12:30pm at Federal Hall (26 Wall St between Nassau and Williams Sts) kicks off the celebration, which ends with a daylong commemoration at Green-Wood Cemetery (500 25th St at Fifth Ave, Sunset Park, Brooklyn) on Aug 28.
