Originally designed by Frederick Law Olmsted., Jr (son of the co-designer of Central and Prospect Parks), this playground was refurbished in 1995. Situated in the northeast corner of Fort Tryon Park, the playground is easily accessible from the street and lined with rows of London plane trees. It features a large handicapped-accessible play unit, two sets of swings for different age groups, animal sculptures, play houses, and an open performance space.
