Walter Robinson, “Salad, Candles and Money”

Never one to beat around the bush in terms of subject matter, Robinson, a painter, writer and Colab/Pictures Generations veteran, presents new canvases, each straightforwardly depicting one of the trio of items listed in the show title. (And also, salad!) Typically for the artist, the works are pitched somewhere between sardonic and sincere as they measure the gray area separating virtue and vice.
