JASA, an organization that serves older adults, is featuring the art of its senior citizen clients at the Evelyn & Louis Green Residence at Cooper Square (200 East 5th Street) on Thursday, March 27. The free exhibit shows that it's never too late to develop your talents and build community. Some works are by seasoned professionals and other pieces were created by those who discovered their talent later in life through JASA's programs.
All works will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting JASA's services for 40,000 older adults across NYC. The funds raised will help sustain programs such as senior wellness services, housing assistance, and social activities designed to improve the quality of life for older adults in our community.
More than just an art show, this event highlights the power of creativity in combating social isolation among older adults and fostering community. This is a chance for New Yorkers to show they care, to engage in a meaningful way, and to stand in solidarity with older adults who may be facing loneliness.
