"The Material Image"

As its title makes clear, this group show organized by Debra Singer, a former Whitney curator and executive director of the Kitchen, includes works that allude somehow to their own making or composition—or at least could be read that way. The lineup comprises 18 artists, all of whom further the legacy of process art and postminimalism to one degree or another.
