For nearly 35 years, Pondick’s chimerical, and often disturbing, figurative sculptures have been frequently exhibited both here and abroad. Her works have included abstract blobs fitted with bared teeth, as well as various hybrids of human and animal, human and tree and human and furniture. This exhibit centers on heads encased in blocks of clear, colored resin, suggesting cranial ice cubes or specimens in a cryogenics lab.
