Rodney Dickson, "Paintings"

In a group of 14 abstract works each larger than human scale at 8 x 5 feet, Dickson's paintings confront the viewer almost as aggressively as the paint was layered onto canvas. He uses these thick layers of pigment to create color combinations and patterns that evoke experiences with the natural world and the complexities of the human condition.
